We left our Split apartment early to make the 8:30 ferry to Hvar island. Home to a number of beaches and wineries, Hvar is popular with tourists and Croatians for weekend getaways. Our Airbnb host in Split even has small vineyard on Hvar. She gave us some of her homemade brandy during our stay.

After the two-hour ferry ride we visited three towns on the island. The skies were clear and it was a beautiful day to be out on the waters of the Adriatic.
