Plitvice Lakes National Park

For our last day in Croatia we drove out of Dubrovnik and headed north towards Plitvice Lakes National Park. Famous for its lakes connected by dozens of waterfalls, pictures of the park were the thing that first brought Croatia onto our radar as a place we wanted to visit.

We had originally planned to tour the park on our way out of Zagreb, but the rains were heavy that day so we decided to wait until our long drive back from Dubrovnik. The weather was clear and warm that Monday, and were so happy to have waited.
