A metropolis of over eight million people, the city sits right on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Despite its desert location (it gets less than 2 inches of rain a year), the weather is almost always cool and comfortable. Most homes have neither air conditioning nor heating.<\/p>\n<p>We spent six days touring the city and liked a lot of what we saw.
