Until 1981 the hill was a trash dump and a motocross track, but since then the site has been an active archaeological dig and museum. They&#8217;ve only uncovered about half of the site in the past 32 years, and expect to take another 30 to finish. Only a few days after our visit <a title=\"Mummies!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ibtimes.com\/two-mummies-found-inside-ancient-tomb-peru-one-most-important-finds-decades-photos-1441592\">scientists announced the discovery of two new mummies in a tomb<\/a>.
