We arrived early enough to see the promotional caravan, where the tour&#8217;s major sponsors drive parade floats over the route\u00a0of the stage while throwing trinkets to the waiting crowds.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the freebies were keychains, although there were a few product samples, refrigerator magnets, and the occasional coupon booklet.<\/p>\n<p>After the caravan the riders passed, but instead of taking pictures I watched the 90-second event with my own eyes.
