Famous for its lakes connected by dozens of waterfalls, pictures of the park were the thing that first brought Croatia onto our radar as a place we wanted to visit.<\/p>\n<p>We had originally planned to tour\u00a0the park on our way out of Zagreb, but the rains were heavy that day so we decided to wait until\u00a0our long drive back from Dubrovnik.
