On our second day trip we visited three temples. The first two, Taman Ayun and Ulun Danu, we saw before lunch.

Taman Ayun is in the Denpasar suburb of Mengwi, but the road directly in front of the temple entrance is restricted to most traffic, which keeps the area quiet. The temple complex is pretty large and is even surrounded by a moat.

Ulun Danu is to the north and sits in a very scenic area beside a lake and between two mountains. It was a popular place for brides-to-be on the day we visited.

The two temples were a fine start to a very good day.
