If you visit one historical site in Jordan, it has to be Petra. On our last Monday in the country we booked a day trip to the south and Jordan’s most popular tourist attraction. We saw so much on our ten-hour trip and it took us a while to process it all.

While the building named The Treasury is the best known of the site, the entire park is quite large and spans several square miles. We had no idea how much there was to see, and we were blown away by the natural beauty as well as the architectural achievements of the Nabateans who carved it all two thousand years ago.
