We packed up in Seville and started the drive west towards Portugal. As we approached the border the rains got harder and we had to slow down to avoid sliding off the highway. A few hours later we arrived in the coastal town of Lagos and settled into our apartment. Over the next two days we alternated between short walks around the small town and hearty meals in the local restaurants.

On Saturday we packed up to head north into the Alentejo, but first we did a coastal tour to Sagres and then Zambujeira do Mar.
