On our first day with the rental car we drove inland to see the walled city of Mdina. Surrounded by tall walls that are up to fifteen-feet thick, the small town is one of the most popular areas to visit outside Valletta.
We toured the interior and enjoyed the views before walking into the adjacent town of Rabat. Afterwards we drove along Malta’s rocky western coast.
