In order to maintain contact with the motherland on important events, I upgraded our satellite dish subscription so I can pick up NFL games on Sunday nights. Sky Sports is kind enough to carry at least one game a week for the entire season. For opening week I got to hear Pat and John commentate on the Rams/Eagles overtime bash in Philly. I didn’t actually watch the whole thing, of course, since it started at 9 pm and went well past midnight. This coming week is Chiefs/Seahawks. Another game that won’t keep me out of bed at a decent hour.

I was happy to find out that I’ll get all the playoff games plus the Super Bowl. Anyone want to come to the UK to watch the big game? Kickoff will be around 11pm. We can nap during the halftime show and be ready for the president’s phone call at 3:30 or so. Space in our guest room and on our couches will be first come, first served, so pick up your phone and call now. Operators are standing by.
