One of the highlights of the trip was our visit to the Helsinki central library. One of several in the city’s library system, this branch goes by the name Oodi.

More than just books, this library is also a place to reserve a meeting room, learn to cook, play music, sew, or engage in other sorts of creative pursuits. The time we spent here made us think of our own libraries back home as lacking in imagination.
