On to Lima

After the heat and humidity of Panama City we flew south through Bogota to the capital of Peru. A metropolis of over eight million people, the city sits right on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Despite its desert location (it gets less than 2 inches of rain a year), the weather is almost always cool and comfortable. Most homes have neither air conditioning nor heating.

We spent six days touring the city and liked a lot of what we saw. Here’s the first of two sets of photos of Lima.
