Santiago, part 2

We arrived in Chile’s capital, the first city on our trip we’d visited before, after leaving Argentina on a Tuesday afternoon.

When we passed through here a couple of years ago, we only spent a total of two days in town and most of that was in the quiet suburb of Las Condes. This time we got to spend nine days in the lively Bellas Artes neighborhood in the center of the city.

We were surrounded by cafés, shops, bars, restaurants, fruit markets and everything else we needed to enjoy this sunny city at the foot of the Andes.

Our new favorite wine bar is Bocanáriz in Barrio Lastarria. 327 Chilean wines and fantastic food. Check it out next time you’re in Santiago.
