We left Munich on a Monday on a packed train to visit Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. Just over the border from Germany in Austria, the city is a popular tourist attraction for fans of Mozart and for the movie the Sound of Music.

We spent four days in town during and saw much of the old city and its classic architecture.
