For the final two days of our two-week trip, we checked into a five-star winery hotel in the heart of the Alentejo region. Our new favorite relaxation spot is the ten-room Herdade de Malhadinha Nova. We checked in late Saturday afternoon and didn’t leave the grounds until just before lunch on Monday. And it goes almost without saying, but here we drank the best wine of the entire trip. We would have stayed a lot longer if we could have.
