Drake Park

Our first few days in Bend were sunny and warm, but by the afternoon of day three the skies were grey and snowflakes were falling. We spent much of the next three days inside relaxing by the fire, but we did venture out occasionally to eat and drink.

We also took a walk around downtown Bend’s Drake Park, through which flows the Deschutes River. A dam built in 1910 created Mirror Pond, the centerpiece of the park.

We walked around the pond one cool morning before finding somewhere downtown for lunch.
